How this projection works
Interest on interest
A nominal annual rate is compounded at your chosen frequency. An effective rate, such as AER or APY, already includes compounding. Both use fractional-period accrual between payments.
Payments on your schedule
Each addition or withdrawal happens at the beginning or end of its payment period. We use a standard year of 12 equal months, 52 weeks or 26 fortnights. Annual payment increases begin after each complete year.
An illustration, not a promise
Rates stay constant; taxes and fees are excluded. Withdrawals stop at the available balance. Inflation shows purchasing power in today’s money. Actual returns and bank calendars can differ.
Calculations run in your browser. Shared links contain your settings, readable by anyone with the link. Supported projections cover up to 60 years; very large projections show a limit message.
